Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)

PMKVY provides skill training and certification across multiple sectors to improve employability.

Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS)

JSS focuses on vocational training for different sections of society.

National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS)

NAPS promotes apprenticeship opportunities by connecting industries and candidates.

Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS)

A total of 1,590 candidates have been trained and certified.

PM Vishwakarma

A total of 1,327 candidates have been trained and certified.

Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs)

There are 32 ITIs in the Chatra Lok Sabha constituency.

These institutes have enrolled 16,180 trainees during the last five years.

Entrepreneurship-based Skill Development Programme (ESDP)

A total of 28 beneficiaries were trained during 2024–26 in Latehar district under the Entrepreneurship-based Skill Development Programme (ESDP) on Solar Entrepreneurship.

Apprenticeship Training

A total of 476 apprentices have successfully completed apprenticeship training in the Chatra Parliamentary Constituency up to 31 December 2025.

Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS)

A total of 2,939 candidates have been trained and certified up to 31 December 2025 under Jan Shikshan Sansthan from Latehar district under the Chatra constituency.

Support for Gig and Platform Workers

The Government acknowledged the growing importance of gig and platform workers in India’s evolving labour market.

According to the official statement, while no separate or exclusive priority category has been created specifically for gig and platform workers, they are covered under existing Government skill development schemes in accordance with scheme guidelines.

SIDH and e-Shram Integration

Skill development initiatives available through the Skill India Digital Hub provide opportunities for gig and platform workers to access skilling and upskilling programmes.

These programmes include courses aligned with the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) to ensure standardised and industry-relevant training outcomes.
